How to screenshot on Mac

On a Mac, you can take a screenshot using these shortcuts:

Full-Screen Screenshot:

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 3
→ Captures the entire screen and saves it to your desktop (or clipboard if you add Control: Command + Shift + Control + 3).

Capture a Selected Area:

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4
→ Your cursor turns into a crosshair. Click and drag to select the area you want to capture.

Capture a Specific Window:

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4, then press Spacebar
→ Your cursor turns into a camera. Click on the window you want to screenshot.

Screenshot with Editing Options (MacOS Mojave or later):

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 5
→ Opens a screenshot toolbar with options to capture, record, or customize where screenshots are saved.

Record Screen Video:

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 5, then choose either "Record Entire Screen" or "Record Selected Portion."
